Julius Gabriel DOC-10
Julius Gabriel is a saxophonist being active in the fields of jazz,
experimental and improvised music. He was born in Berlin in 1988.
From 2006 on he was playing with the Berliner Youth Jazz Orchestra.
In 2009 he moved to Essen for studying music on the Folkwang University of the Arts.
Since living in Essen, Julius Gabriel is collaborating with Barry Guy
and many musicians from the improvised music scene, as well as keeping groups together,
such as the improvised music orchestra “Das große Ding“,
the agitative free-jazz-disco band “Das Behälter“
and the psychedelic noise quartet “Blutiger Jupiter“.
2013 he was joining the magnificent 25-piece sound collective “The Dorf“, led by Jan Klare.
