Thodoris Georgopoulos Nano-R
He was born in 1968 in Germany and comes from Kato Labdani Pogoniou.
The musicians of Chaligiannis family and leading clarinet players Vassilis Soukas
and Giorgos Mprachopoulos were his teachers in clarinet. He studied classic harmony,
Byzantine Music in the music school of Simon Karas and kaval in the Academy of Filippoupolis in Bulgaria.
He has collaborated with great performers, such as Angel Gadzev (gadulka) and Dimos Polymeris (accordion),
in concerts and discography on the theme Balkan Music. He has worked with musicians and singers from the
entire spectrum of Greek music scene like: Karyofylli Doitsidi, Chronis Aidonidis, Petros-Loukas Chalkias,
Ross Daily, Helene Tsaligkopoulou, Anastasia Moutsatsou, Helene Dimou, Glykeria, Giorgos Dalaras, Dionyssis
Savvopoulos, Orchestra of Colours, and with great chanters like: Lykourgos Aggelopoulos, Thodoros Vasilikos,
Thodoros Vasiliou, etc. He has been also collaborating for years with Domna Samiou in concerts and discography.
In his discography are included Songs of the Arvanites, Pogoni Dropoli and Western East. At the same time
he has taken care of music publications as musical producer and orchestrator. In 2004 and in 2005 he taught
traditional wind instruments in the Music High school of Alimos, and in recent years he has created his own
orchestra which counts many members, participating in many folk and ethnic music festivals all around the world
