Othonas Bikakis       KAL-V

Othonas Bikakis was born in Athens, of Cretan origin from Chania.
He studied Music at the Hellenic Conservatory and Byzantine Music.
He has participated as a lyre player and as an arranger in the records of composers and creators,
he has undertaken the musical editing of many songs and he has written music for documentaries.
He has collaborated with the composers Yiannis Nikolaou, Nikos Terzis, Marios Strophalis,
Areti Kokkinou and with the lyre player and composer of Cretan music Psarantonis (Antonis Xylouris).
With singers Dimitris Bassis, Yiannis Kotsiras, Vassilis Lekkas, Pantelis Thalassinos,
Martha Moreleon, Anait Safarian, Thelma Karagiannis and Makis Seviloglou.
He also collaborated with the music composer Dimitris Papadimitriou and the choreographer Fokas Evangelinos,
with the composer Yiannis Markopoulos & the director Nikos Koundouros, with the "Melina Merkouri" Foundation,
the Color Orchestra and for more than ten years with the Simon I. Karas Association (KEPEM).
He has been teaching the Cretan lyre for many years at public music schools (Pallini, Ilion, Piraeus),
at Music Schools and at the Papagou and F. Nakas Conservatories.
