Nikos Zoidakis                     STA-52

Nikos Zoidakis was born and grew up in Chania, Creta.
He listened to all great Cretan artists that played
an important role in the island’s music. His first contact
with lyra came at age of 9 and his first feast at the age the 12.
From then on he has made several appearances in Greece and other
countries, wherever the Cretan and Greek element exists.
In 1985 he published his first music work and from then on he has
recorded more than twenty CDs in which participate a lot of successful
Cretan artists. Two of his cds have become gold and one platinum.
